Durante los días 22 y 23 de agosto de 2019 se llevó a cabo el 5° Encuentro Nacional de Teoría e Historia de Arquitectura en la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Chile en Santiago. Durante el encuentro fue presentada la ponencia ¿Qué se dice sobre la arquitectura de la clase media en Latinoamérica? Una revisión de la producción arquitectónica contemporánea en Latinoamérica a partir del estudio del evento comunicativo«, la cual buscaba reflexionar sobre la performatividad de la arquitectura contemporánea a partir del análisis de los discursos utilizados por los arquitectos para referirse a sus obras.
On August 22 and 23, 2019, the 5th National Meeting of Theory and History of Architecture was held at the School of Architecture of the University of Chile in Santiago. During the meeting the lecture What is said about the architecture of the middle class in Latin America? A review of contemporary architectural production in Latin America from the study of the communicative event was presented, it referred to the performativity of contemporary architecture from the analysis of the discourses used by architects to refer to their works.
