El curso Tesis de Licenciatura tiene como principal objetivo que el alumno pueda desarrollar de manera integral una investigación académica a partir de los conocimientos adquiridos durante la carrera. El equipo docente propondrá un tema general y único para todo el curso y ofrecerá la tutoría para que los alumnos desarrollen investigaciones específicas y diferentes dentro del marco del curso. Durante el periodo 2017-2020 se propone que todas las unidades académicas de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño UFT desarrollen sus cursos a partir de una temática común: La Patagonia y Antártica chilena. El objetivo de esta propuesta es que toda la facultad se aboque a desarrollar contenidos sobre esta región, la cual al día de hoy parece carece de interés por parte de los grandes centros urbanos del país, para conformar una serie de proyectos, propuestas e investigaciones que puedan apoyar al desarrollo futuro de este territorio.

The main objective of the Licentiate Thesis course is for the student to comprehensively develop academic research based on the knowledge acquired during the course. The teaching team will propose a general and unique theme for the entire course and will offer tutoring so that the students can develop specific and different research within the framework of the course. During the period 2017-2020, it is proposed that all the academic units of the UFT Faculty of Architecture and Design develop their courses based on a common theme: Chilean Patagonia and Antarctica. The objective of this proposal is that the entire faculty is devoted to developing content on this region, which to this day seems to lack interest on the part of the large urban centers of the country, to form a series of projects, proposals and research that can support the future development of this territory.
